Sports Performance

At MP Sports, we are committed to more than athletes - we are committed to the Total Person. Studies have shown that proper nutrition, proper hydration and consistent physical activity makes people physically healthier and increases self confidence, which leads to better performance on the field, in the classroom, and at home. Our Sports Performance Training is proud of the results we have achieved with our clients, and we can help you achieve the same kind of results.


Level I - Rookie

  • Introduction to basic movement and motor coordination skills, focusing on correct form. Ex: running, backpedaling, shuffling, skipping
  • High repetitions of linear and multidirectional movements to encourage optimal muscle memory and improvement.
  • Body weight strength movements (squats, pushups, crunches), focusing on proper form and execution.
  • Basic reaction-focused sports drills to prepare for our Advanced Level.
  • Positive environment to foster enjoyment and confidence building among athletes.

Level II - Advanced

  • Emphasis on basic movement and coordination, yet at a faster pace.
  • More complex linear, multidirectional, sport-specific, and reaction-based drills and activities.
  • Increased sets and repetitions to improve endurance and cardiovascular fitness.
  • Introduction to low repetition, low set resistance and overspeed drills (working with resistance equipment, predominantly linear movements).
  • Body weight strength movements with the inclusion of medicine ball work.
  • Athletes at this level we hold to higher expectations of core movements.

Level III - Select

  • Emphasis on correct running form and motor coordination.
  • Compound movements are introduced and taught so that athletes will master them
  • Stronger emphasis on resistance and overspeed training (more sets and repetitions)
  • Greater importance put on sport-specific situations combining reaction training and multidirectional movements to enhance athletic performance.
  • Introduction to weight room strength training with thirty minutes designated to focusing on proper form and technique.

Level IV - Elite

  • Positive yet more intense environment for our highest paced program.
  • Athletes are expected to have a high level of competency in regards to basic and compound movements
  • More concentrated focus will be put on sports specific movements incorporating all of our equipment
  • Weight room strength training is increased to an hour focusing more on Olympic lifts to promote explosive movements.

*Trainers have the discretion to move a client in classification.
